How pro-life, pregnancy-help and abolitionist nonprofits are funded and run
From each organization's IRS Form 990 (latest public year), compiled October 2026. Click any column heading to sort; use the buttons to filter; open “Details” for where the money goes and each group's positions. Each tax ID links to that organization's filings on ProPublica.
Protective: centers “cannot both openly advocate for criminalizing women and remain safe harbors for them” (Nov 2025)
Runs Option Line and the Abortion Pill Rescue Network. Website claims run above its tax return (4,000 vs 2,800+ affiliates).
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
No formal legislative platform found; goal is abortion 'illegal and unthinkable', pursued mainly through pregnancy help rather than law. Board chair Hartshorn describes the 15-week Mississippi law approvingly as part of the 'incremental approach' that produced Dobbs; Heartbeat says abortion 'should, indeed, be abolished' but rejects criminalising women as the route.
“Yet the path to a world where abortion is both illegal and unthinkable will not be built through criminalization of the victims of a lucrative abortion industry”
No official exceptions policy found. The only relevant text is a guest article (Matt Waters, CEO of F Street Partners) on Heartbeat's site that denies abortion is ever medically needed to save the mother. Weak evidence: it is a guest author, not Heartbeat leadership.
“science proves that abortion is never medically necessary to preserve the life of the mother”
not reliably shown (metadata says 2020-10-13, but the text mentions Dobbs, so it was edited 2022 or later)
Opposes criminalising or punishing women who abort. President Godsey signed the April 2024 North Dakota letter that reaffirmed the 2022 coalition position.
“Pregnancy help organizations cannot both openly advocate for criminalizing women and remain safe harbors for them.”
Wants the pre-2021 in-person mifepristone rules restored, an FDA re-review of the drug, Comstock Act enforcement against mailed pills, and challenges to shield laws (open letter to President Trump signed by Godsey). Runs the Abortion Pill Rescue Network, which promotes abortion pill reversal (APR), and backs the Second Chance at Life Act, which requires telling women about APR.
“Enforce the Comstock Act to halt the illegal mailing of abortion drugs into pro-life states, protecting state sovereignty and the rule of law;”
Affiliates must not offer, recommend or refer for contraceptives (Commitment of Care and Competence). Heartbeat 'does not promote birth control' and promotes sexual purity before marriage. IVF: no statement found from Heartbeat itself. Its news site, Pregnancy Help News, covers IVF and embryo adoption, but only as reporting.
““We do not offer, recommend or refer for abortions, abortifacients or contraceptives. We are committed to offering accurate information about related risks and procedures.””
An interdenominational Christian association. Each affiliate chooses its own statement of faith (the Nicene Creed is suggested), and its policies follow 'Biblical principles'. Client services include 'applied spiritual encouragement'. Heartbeat does not explicitly require the gospel to be shared, unlike Care Net.
“We are a nonprofit, interdenominational Christian association of faith-based pregnancy resource centers, medical clinics, maternity homes, and adoption agencies”
No candidate endorsements or PAC found. Runs get-out-the-vote content: it urges staff, volunteers and churches to 'vote their values' and points readers to ivoterguide.com. It also lobbies (open letter to President Trump; 'Babies Go to Congress'). It notes that legal limits apply to what a pregnancy help organization can do in elections.
“There is everything to gain, and nothing to lose when we encourage our staff, volunteers, partner churches and community supporters to vote their values.”
not reliably shown (metadata 2014-10-24, but the text mentions Dobbs)
Openly criticises abolitionists/'immediatists' for wanting to criminalise women. Heartbeat did NOT sign the 12 May 2022 NRLC coalition letter (checked all archived versions). But Godsey signed the 2 April 2024 SBA-led letter to the North Dakota GOP, which quotes and reaffirms that 2022 letter. Embrace Grace announced a formal partnership with Heartbeat.
“Among these are self-described "abolitionists" who specifically direct their energies toward the immediate, absolute abolition of abortion, pursued by leveraging the power of government to criminalize every aspect of abortion. These “immediatists” support the call for criminalizing women”

Schedule C Part II-B, "other activities" only: "TRAVEL AND LODGING EXPENSES RELATED TO BABIES GO TO CONGRESS CAMPAIGN AND MEETING WITH LAWMAKERS TO TELL THE STORY OF HOW THEIR LOCAL PREGNANCY HELP ORGANIZATION HELPED THEM THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME IN THEIR LIFE." No political campaign activity reported (Part IV line 3: No).
Related organizations
None reported. No Schedule R in FY2024 or FY2025; Form 990 Part IV line 33/34 answered No. Option Line, Abortion Pill Rescue Network and Pregnancy Help News are programs inside this EIN.
Property
No land owned. Land, buildings and equipment at cost $2,142,185, net book value $236,785 at 30 Sep 2025 (FY2024: $114,650). Schedule D detail FY2025: leasehold improvements $122,275 net, equipment $111,910, building $0, other $2,600. Offices are leased (right-of-use lease asset $219,605 in FY2024).
Notable explanations on the return
Schedule O and other explanations hold nothing unusual: the board reviews the 990; pay is set from salary surveys and the board approves the President's contract.
FY2024 data note: audited statements include $100,000 of donated services that are excluded from the 990 totals (Schedule D Part XI/XII).
Pay includes other compensation (base $282,564). Separate Care Net Foundation (46-0951472). Grants to other groups fell from $1.75M (2021) to $28k (2025).
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Wants abortion illegal from conception. Sharply criticises weeks-based bans (15-week, viability) and 'legislative incrementalism' as conceding about 96-98% of abortions, and says both major parties are now 'essentially pro-choice'. Its emphasis is on church and pregnancy-center ministry rather than law.
“We want abortions to be illegal at conception, but we are asking for 15 weeks… which means the bargaining range is 15-40 weeks.”
2024-10-29 (Heather Creekmore, summarising Roland Warren)
Opposes a rape exception on moral grounds: the child's value does not depend on how it was conceived. Warren treats exception-based laws as still largely 'pro-choice'. No statement found specifically on life-of-the-mother or fetal-anomaly exceptions.
“we should say that we are against abortion for exactly the same reason why we are against rape. We are against the powerful using their power to take advantage of the vulnerable.”
Its leaders (Warren and DiCaro) wrote that women are victims of abortion, that punishment for illegal abortion should fall on providers only, and that pro-lifers were consistent in criticising Trump's 2016 'punishment' remark. No post-2022 Care Net statement on criminalising women was found, and Care Net did not sign the May 2022 coalition letter.
“pro-choice advocates are being inconsistent with their beliefs and pro-life advocates are being perfectly consistent with their beliefs by criticizing Trump.”
Warren signed the March 2025 letter urging the DOJ to enforce the Comstock Act against mailed abortion pills. Care Net's blog backs reversing the generic mifepristone approval and restoring tighter controls, and promotes abortion pill reversal.
“The lack of enforcement of the Comstock Act is just another factor that makes it more urgent and important than ever for us to be able to reach women and men with the love of Christ quickly.”
Affiliates may not 'recommend, provide, or refer single women for contraceptives'; married clients are sent to their pastor or doctor. Its Commitment of Care bars offering or referring for contraceptives. IVF: no formal policy found, but the blog welcomed Alabama's 2024 embryo-personhood ruling and quoted Al Mohler's opposition to IVF.
“The pregnancy center does not recommend, provide, or refer single women for contraceptives. (Married women and men seeking contraceptive information should be urged to seek counsel, from their pastor and/or physician.)”
Issue Date: January 2025 (Standards of Affiliation, #6)
Explicitly evangelical. Affiliates must share the gospel with clients, and every board member, staff member and volunteer must have professed faith in Christ. Prayer is offered but 'never imposed'.
“The pregnancy center is equally committed to sharing the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ with those it serves.”
Issue Date: January 2025 (Standards of Affiliation, #1)
No endorsements, PAC or voter guides found. Calls abortion primarily a discipleship issue, not a political one, and criticises both parties, including the GOP's 2024 'states decide' platform.
“the book acts as a clarion call to the Church to rethink how it views abortion – not primarily as a political issue, but as a discipleship issue at the heart of the Church’s very purpose for existence.”
Works with mainstream groups on joint letters: Warren co-signed the March 2025 Comstock letter with Live Action (Lila Rose), SFLA, NRLC, AUL and others. It also criticises the mainstream movement's incrementalism and its 'elastic' use of the 'pro-life' label. Care Net did NOT sign the 12 May 2022 anti-criminalisation letter or the April 2024 North Dakota letter. No direct statement on the abolitionist movement found (Warren uses the slavery-abolition analogy, but not about today's abolitionists).
“The term pro-life has become so elastic that it no longer clearly reflects a commitment to protecting life at every stage.”
USAspending.gov: a PPP loan of $471,229 to "CARE NET" (Virginia).
Federal Audit Clearinghouse: no single audit on file.

FY2025 Schedule O: "On January 1, 2025, Care Net acquired ICU Mobile to reach more women and men at risk for choosing abortion" (ICU Mobile: "National pro-life ministry supporting a fleet a mobile medical units"; $621,698 of expenses).
"Other professional fees" $1,008,242 (FY2025, line 11g) are not itemised by payee. No contractor was paid over $100,000 in either year (Part VII Section B line 2 = 0).
No statement found (helped write Texas's 2025 pill-shipping law; women can't be sued under it)
Government grants $20.7M (64%), up from $2.8M in 2018; ~$7.5M a year on advertising. Raise $1 is 25¢ counting private gifts only.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Ultimate goal is total protection from conception (14th Amendment personhood / 'equal protection'), but accepts and champions incremental laws (15-week ban as a 'floor', Texas heartbeat amicus, Alabama ban, Texas 2025 WCPA pill law).
“While the goal of the pro-life movement is to make all abortions completely unthinkable and unavailable, the nature of our legal system often results in incremental steps toward abolishing abortion.”
Opposes rape/incest exceptions (calls them 'pro-abortion lite'); accepts life-of-mother treatment (e.g. ectopic removal, preterm delivery) while saying direct abortion is never medically necessary. No fetal-anomaly statement found, though its 2019 blog praised Alabama's ban, which had a lethal-anomaly exception.
“But we cannot make exceptions; otherwise, we demean and diminish our own humanity.”
Opposes punishing women: it praised the Alabama ban for exempting mothers, and the Texas WCPA it backed targets pill distributors (civil suits), framing the mother as a victim. NOT a signatory of the NRLC 12 May 2022 anti-criminalization letter.
“And the ban explicitly clarifies that mothers cannot be punished for undergoing an abortion.”
Strongly restrictionist: wants pre-2016 REMS restored (in-person prescribing, 7-week limit, adverse-event reporting), no mail-order; filed amicus briefs in AHM v. FDA; says the Comstock Act already bans interstate shipping but isn't enforced; helped pass Texas WCPA (SB 7, 2025). Positive on abortion pill reversal (APR).
“These include a limit to use of the pills at seven weeks gestation, a requirement that the pills be prescribed in-person by a doctor, and mandatory reporting of non-fatal adverse effects of the pills.”
No statement found on whether its clinics provide or refer for contraception. It treats emergency contraception (Plan B, ella) as potentially abortifacient. On IVF: no direct stance found, but the 2023 'North Star' letter it joined calls for frozen embryos not to be treated as property or discarded.
“The two are not used in the same way, though both can end the life of a preborn child.”
Explicitly Christian (Proverbs 24:11 'rescue' mandate; church mobilisation). It speaks of meeting clients' spiritual needs, connecting moms to churches for discipleship, and its founder wrote that it seeks to share the gospel.
“As believers, we are God’s answer to abortion and have a mandate to act on behalf of moms and their babies.”
Its affiliated 501(c)(4), Human Coalition Action (exec. dir. Rev. Dean Nelson, who died in Dec 2023), lobbies legislators and informs voters about pro-life candidates. HC publishes model bills, files amicus briefs and testifies, and publicly broke with President Trump over the Hyde Amendment (Jan 2026). Not checked here: the reported grant to NC Faith & Freedom Coalition (a 990 matter, not found on the HC site). Separately, an HC blog says a lobbyist's firm helped HC obtain North Carolina state grant funds.
“Human Coalition Action is an affiliated public policy advocacy 501(c)4 organization advocating for preborn children by challenging legislators to vote for pro-life policies, informing voters about pro-life candidates, and supporting pro-life legal arguments in the Courts.”
Works inside the mainstream movement: it joined the 2023 'New North Star' equal-protection letter (signers listed by HC include Lila Rose, Penny Nance, Kristan Hawkins, Shawn Carney, Robert George, Ryan Anderson), thanked Texas Right to Life, and filed briefs with NIFLA and ADF. Not a signatory of the NRLC 12 May 2022 letter. No statement found on abolitionists, and no criticism of other groups found except calling pro-life politicians who allow rape exceptions 'pro-abortion lite'.
“Our North Star in the pro-life movement remains the same as ever: the end of abortion through ensuring the equal protection of the laws.”
Part VIII line 1e: $20,708,925 (FY2025) and $18,184,179 (FY2024). Payers are not named.
TRACED: Texas Health and Human Services Commission contracts with vendor "HUMAN COALITION" (vendor ID 12640999509, which is this EIN), from the Texas Legislative Budget Board contracts database (contracts.lbb.texas.gov / cms.lbb.texas.gov):
HHS000677400004 "Alternatives to Abortion", 1 Sep 2020 to 30 Nov 2025, current value $67,021,995 (competitive; 10 amendments). https://cms.lbb.texas.gov/Default.aspx?aid=529&cid=HHS000677400004
HHS001516700017 "TTF FY26 RFA" (Thriving Texas Families, the renamed Alternatives to Abortion program), 1 Dec 2025 to 31 Aug 2030, value $94,694,138. https://cms.lbb.texas.gov/Default.aspx?aid=529&cid=HHS001516700017
HHS000050200001 "Family Planning Services", 1 Jun 2018 to 31 Aug 2020, value $14,896,495 (maximum with options $30,485,823). https://cms.lbb.texas.gov/Default.aspx?aid=529&cid=HHS000050200001
For comparison, the program's main administrator, Texas Pregnancy Care Network, holds $246,476,172 (2020–25) and $286,187,222 (2025–30).
These are multi-year contract ceilings, not amounts paid. Per-year payments to Human Coalition were not found, and the 990 does not split its $20.7M among states. Georgia, North Carolina or Tennessee money (it has LLCs in those states): not found.
Federal: the only single audit on file is calendar 2018 (report 2018-12-CENSUS-0000248552), $2,843,373 of federal awards, which earlier research identified as TANF passed through Texas HHSC. USAspending.gov shows a PPP loan of $1,462,145. No later federal single audits are on file.

FY2025 bylaw amendments (Schedule O, Part VI line 4) include "REMOVAL OF SUBSECTION PROHIBITING A COMMITTEE FROM APPROVING A TRANSACTION THAT INVOLVES A POTENTIAL CONFLICT", plus removal of staggered terms and ex officio directors.
Board (FY2025 Part VII): chair Jeff Mateer. Directors include Katrina Pierson (term ended 11/2024), Dr Daniel Akin, Kristin Hammett, Matthew Krause and others, all unpaid.

Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Says it is non-partisan and does not endorse legislation, yet in 2017 it ran a petition urging the Senate to pass the 20-week Pain-Capable Act. It defends existing bans (Texas) against media criticism. No statement found on total ban vs incremental strategy or on abolition.
“We believe it’s time for the Senate to act bi-partisanly on this issue, and here’s why:”
Its blog argues against abortion for a child conceived in rape and says abortion after 20 weeks is not needed to save the mother's life. No formal policy statement on legal exceptions; a 2022 post only describes which exceptions laws contain.
“If the unborn person, conceived in rape, is a human being, than there is no way to justify punishing a child for the crime committed by his father.”
Treats women as victims, not defendants. It stressed that the bill it backed punishes providers only, and its blog says women historically have not been prosecuted. NOT a signatory of the NRLC 12 May 2022 letter; no direct normative statement found.
“Fourth, the abortion providers, not the women seeking abortions, would be prosecuted.”
Opposes mail-order mifepristone and reports Justice Thomas's Comstock argument, but no policy demand on REMS/Comstock was found. Actively promotes and connects women to abortion pill reversal.
“In fact, at Save the Storks, we provide women with the resources to access the abortion reversal pill.”
Mixed. foreverywoman.org (same EIN 46-1031815) has a neutral 'Birth Control' explainer covering hormonal methods, IUDs, sterilisation and emergency contraception, with no moral objection; its provider directory lists 'Birth Control Consultation', 'Birth Control Referrals' and 'Birth Control Prescriptions' services, with provider counts shown in the page data (46 / 8 / 0 at fetch). A partner-clinic CEO, quoted on STS's site, says PRCs don't offer birth control 'on demand'. On IVF, STS says it takes no stance but promotes embryo adoption.
“Birth control services offer information and access to methods that help prevent pregnancy. Options may include pills, IUDs, implants, and more to help women choose what works best for their health, lifestyle, and future plans.”
fetched 2026-10-04 (service-category text embedded in homepage directory data)
Christian, with the Nicene Creed as its statement of faith. Its staff and partner clinic advocates pray with clients. The CEO ties the clinic work to the Gospel; no explicit evangelism protocol was found.
“We adhere to the statement of faith that is expressed in the Nicene Creed.”
Officially non-partisan, with no PAC, endorsements or voter guides found. But it has issued statements on candidates: in 2024 the CEO criticised VP Harris's 'extreme abortion stance' after her nomination. Its 2020 gala featured Sarah Huckabee Sanders alongside Democrat Katrina Jackson, billed as bipartisan.
“Save the Storks is a non-partisan, non-political organization. We do not promote or endorse political candidates or legislation.”
Speaks well of mainstream groups (Live Action, Focus on the Family, SBA Pro-Life America, NRLC) as 'complementary'. Not a signatory of the NRLC 12 May 2022 letter. No statement found on abolitionists.
“The organizations below represent some of the most influential and impactful voices shaping the pro-life landscape today — each contributing in distinct but complementary ways.”

Largest 2024 grant: The Signatry (Overland Park KS) $475,702, "Mobile Clinic Grant". The Signatry is a Christian giving foundation (donor-advised funds), not a clinic. The return does not say which clinic the money was for. That one grant was 47% of all 2024 grants.
Founder pay rose from $80k (2020) to $221k (2024) while revenue fell 13% and it ran a $798k deficit.

Formal partnership with Heartbeat International. Did NOT sign the May 2022 or April 2024 anti-criminalisation letters. No statement on abolitionists found. Caveat: its /pro-love-movement page reads like auto-generated SEO text. Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Incremental/gestational limits as steps toward ending abortion, with a strong push for NATIONAL protection: it praised Trump's reported 16-week national standard (16 Feb 2024), called itself 'deeply disappointed' by his 'leave it to the states' position (8 Apr 2024), and by 2026 calls a 'states-only' strategy a failure and 'unjust', grounding federal action in the 14th Amendment (24 Jun 2026; gala speech 30 Apr 2026). It also backed state 15-week laws (e.g., Arizona) and the 2022 Graham 15-week bill.
“Saying the issue is ‘back to the states’ cedes the national debate to the Democrats who are working relentlessly to enact legislation mandating abortion throughout all nine months of pregnancy.”
No formal exceptions policy found. In practice SBA champions laws and positions that include rape, incest and life-of-the-mother exceptions (Trump's 16-week standard; Arizona's 15-week law; Missouri's 2025 amendment with rape/incest exceptions for the first 12 weeks) while also backing heartbeat laws. No SBA statement found on fetal-anomaly exceptions.
“a 15-week protection for the unborn who can feel excruciating pain, with exceptions for life of the mother, rape, and incest,”
Firmly opposes criminalizing or punishing women who have abortions. Confirmed the 3 Apr 2024 letter against the North Dakota GOP 'co-conspirators' resolution; on 9 Apr 2024 Dannenfelser celebrated its defeat ('we will oppose any effort to criminalize women – even non-binding resolutions'). Site search found no newer SBA statement specifically on 2025-2026 Louisiana/abolitionist bills.
“We state unequivocally that we do not support any measure seeking to criminalize or punish women and we stand firmly opposed to include such penalties in legislation.”
Wants mail-order mifepristone stopped and the in-person dispensing requirement reinstated; filed a SCOTUS brief backing Louisiana's suit against the FDA (7 May 2026), called for FDA Commissioner Makary to be fired (9 Dec 2025), and criticized the Trump-Vance DOJ for siding with drugmakers (Mar 2026). Supports abortion pill reversal (APR) and laws requiring women be told about it (KS release, 31 Oct 2023). No SBA statement on the Comstock Act found (site search returned only Rep. Barbara Comstock).
“The FDA needs a new commissioner who will immediately reinstate in-person dispensing as it existed under President Trump’s first term and immediately conduct a comprehensive study.”
After the Feb 2024 Alabama ruling SBA did not oppose IVF but urged 'more ethical' IVF that protects embryos, pointing to Louisiana's law as the model, and opposed 'anything goes' IVF bills (Mace resolution, Duckworth bill). On contraception it takes no restrictive position; its 2024 debate fact sheet says no state has banned birth control or IVF.
“Alabama can do both: allow the continued practice of IVF with care for those suffering from infertility and respect life created through the IVF.”
SBA is a political organization, not a ministry; it provides no religious services. Its framing is natural-rights/constitutional ('God-given' right to life in the Declaration, Lincoln quoting Scripture), not explicitly evangelistic; no gospel or sacrament content found.
“These years will determine whether the Declaration of Independence – recognizing the God-given and inalienable right to life – will guide the future of this country,”
Heavily partisan electoral work: endorses (overwhelmingly Republican) candidates via SBA Candidate Fund; runs with Women Speak Out PAC the 'nation's largest pro-life' Voter Contact Program (2M+ door visits by 27 Jul 2026, 1M by students; target 10.5M voters); plans $80M for the 2026 cycle and $160M across 2026 + 2028. FEC totals not retrieved (FEC API rate-limited); see fec.gov for Women Speak Out PAC and SBA List Candidate Fund.
“Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and its partner Women Speak Out PAC announced that their Voter Contact Program has surpassed 2 million visits to voters’ homes”
Opposes the abolitionist approach of punishing women (ND resolution, 2024) and noted such bills had not advanced, but site search found no statement naming 'abolitionists' or the 2025-2026 Louisiana bills. Works in coalition with mainstream groups (e.g., led an 83-group letter to Acting AG Blanche, Jun 2026) and openly criticizes Republican allies when it disagrees (Trump 2024; Makary/FDA; Trump-Vance DOJ).
“We celebrate that in the very few states where this kind of legislation has been filed not a single bill punishing women has advanced.”

No land. Other building item cost $63,000 (book $18,000); leased offices (operating-lease asset $2,190,608). Due from subsidiaries $4,342,035 (FY2024).
As a 501(c)(3) the Education Fund does research/education rather than legislative campaigns; no separate statement on a 15-week limit or Trump's states position found. CLI frames its aim as educating policymakers on life 'from fertilization to natural death' and defends state gestation-based limits in its law reports.
“We leverage this research to educate policymakers, the media, and the public on the value of life from fertilization to natural death.”
CLI argues life-of-the-mother exceptions already exist in every pro-life state and cover ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage care and life-threatening conditions. On fetal anomaly, CLI promotes treatment and perinatal hospice rather than abortion ('Empowering Parents Following a Prenatal Diagnosis', 1 Aug 2025, https://lozierinstitute.org/empowering-parents-following-a-prenatal-diagnosis/). No rape/incest statement found.
“While not all state laws explicitly exclude the treatment of ectopic pregnancy from the definition of abortion, its treatment is otherwise covered in any “life of the mother” exception.”
no statement found on CLI or Her PLAN sites about prosecuting women. (CLI's coercion research is what SBA cites in its anti-criminalization letters.)
“no statement found”
Abortion pill & reversal
Same as SBA: CLI research argues mail-order abortion drugs are unsafe and that the Comstock Act already bars mailing them; CLI defends abortion pill reversal with a 2024 science primer (https://lozierinstitute.org/primer-the-basic-biochemistry-of-abortion-pill-reversal/).
“the Comstock Act prohibits the mailing of abortion drugs within the United States, despite the FDA’s removal of the in-person requirement”
CLI is critical of IVF because of embryo loss and promotes restorative infertility treatment as an alternative (2025 paper suggests reallocating NIH money from IVF fellowships and contraceptive research). No statement opposing contraception itself found.
“The success rates of current IVF methods demand the creation of excess embryos, most of which will ultimately be indefinitely frozen, discarded, experimented on, or die.”
Her PLAN is not itself a church ministry but actively mobilizes churches: its 'Pathways' ideas include church resource closets, prayer groups, after-abortion healing ministries, a 'Gospel Justice Center at Your Church', and monthly prayer challenges with scripture. No evidence that gospel presentation or sacraments are part of its own services; it is a directory/coalition-building program. CLI is a secular-framed research institute.
“By supporting foster families, your church can engage in life-affirming ministry and build a community of support.”
As 501(c)(3)s, CLI and Her PLAN do no candidate endorsements; Her PLAN builds local coalitions that include public officials. Political activity sits with SBA, the Candidate Fund and Women Speak Out PAC.
“Her Community coalitions bring together public officials, charities, ministries, businesses, and individuals at the local level”
Adoption agency. Its 2021–24 returns listed no paid executives although expenses show officer pay.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Backs any law that bans abortion: it praised Texas's Heartbeat Act (2021) and Oklahoma's near-total ban, which makes performing an abortion a felony except in a medical emergency. After Dobbs it said the law alone is not enough and the church must care for women and children.
“Lifeline Children’s Services endorses the Oklahoma State Legislature’s Senate Bill 612, which makes performing an abortion, unless a medical emergency, a felony in the state of Oklahoma.”
No explicit statement on rape or incest found. It endorsed a ban whose only exception is a medical emergency and says circumstances do not lessen the child's value. A 2026 article by its VP condemns 'selective abortions' after prenatal Down syndrome screening (https://lifelinechild.org/article/down-syndrome-awareness-month-every-child-deserves-a-family/).
“The circumstances surrounding a pregnancy do not diminish the value of the child, nor should a child’s life be treated as disposable”
No statement on prosecuting women found. It calls itself 'pro-woman' and focuses on supporting women in crisis. A 2019 blog by VP Christie Mac Segars aims legal 'earthly justice' at those who perform abortions and stresses mercy toward women.
“We are right to demand earthly justice for those who are performing abortions”
Opposes mifepristone and mail or telehealth abortion pills, and urged the DOJ to let the Texas and Florida cases against the FDA go ahead. No abortion pill reversal (APR) statement found.
“At a time when abortion is increasingly driven by telehealth and mail-order drugs, decisions like this risk further removing safeguards intended to protect both women and unborn children”
No contraception statement found. On IVF it says only that it praised the 2024 Alabama Supreme Court ruling treating embryos as life; it takes no direct position on IVF itself.
“This landmark ruling acknowledges the scientific reality that life begins at conception, further emphasizing the importance of protecting the unborn.”
Evangelical with an explicit gospel focus: it calls itself 'the largest Evangelical Christian adoption agency' and was founded by Briarwood Presbyterian Church in 1981. Its statement of faith says life begins at conception and marriage is between one man and one woman.
“To equip the Body of Christ to manifest the gospel to vulnerable children.”
Says it 'transcends politics', yet praised Trump's first term and many Trump administration actions (e.g. the 2025 pardons, rescinding the foster placement rule). It urges people to vote for pro-life policymakers. No candidate endorsement found.
“At Lifeline Children’s Services, our work transcends politics, but we’re aware that policies impact our ability to serve according to our faith.”
No statement on abolitionists or bills to criminalize women found. It speaks warmly of mainstream Christian child-welfare partners, e.g. praising Bethany Christian Services for reinstating its statement of faith and joining CAFO's advocacy.
“As a longtime partner of Bethany, Lifeline is encouraged by this renewed emphasis on the foundational beliefs”
Goal is full legal protection of every unborn child, ultimately by constitutional amendment, pursued step by step: it backs heartbeat laws, dismemberment bans and other partial measures, and Pavone calls Trump the movement's 'next steps', not its 'final goal'.
“Our goal must be the full protection of every unborn child, ultimately through a Constitutional amendment. To achieve that goal, we have to pass laws against abortion and build consensus.”
No exceptions at all, not for rape, incest, or a threat to the mother's health or life. Pavone also argues against a rape exception at length in 'Rape and Abortion' (https://www.priestsforlife.org/articles/2777-rape-and-abortion).
“whether they were the embrace of spousal love or the violent act of rape or incest -- can never make an abortion morally permissible.”
Against punishing women: punish the abortionist, not the woman. Pavone said this on a June 2026 podcast titled 'Should Women Be Prosecuted for Abortion?', which Priests for Life lists in its own media gallery. PfL presents women as harmed by abortion; in March 2026 Morana praised a bill that 'puts the focus on the women harmed by chemical abortion'. CAVEAT: the quote comes from the podcast host's auto-generated transcript, not a written PfL statement.
“we don't we don't punish the woman. Uh you punish the abortionist, yes.”
Wants mifepristone withdrawn ('Recall mifepristone'). Backs Sen. Hawley's bill to pull FDA approval and opposes mail and telehealth access. Strong APR supporter: PfL's medical advisor Dr. Matt Harrison did the first reversal in 2007, and PfL co-hosted a 2015 National Press Club event with AAPLOG to promote APR (https://www.priestsforlife.org/columns/5172-gabriel-saved-in-abortion-pill-reversal).
Follows Catholic teaching (presented as PfL's own position): it opposes contraception, ties it to abortion, and promotes Natural Family Planning and Humanae Vitae. It opposes IVF, citing Donum Vitae; Pavone wrote that children 'can neither be discarded nor demanded' (https://www.priestsforlife.org/columns/470-persons-not-products, 2007-02-12).
“There is a close link between abortion and contraception. Natural Family Planning, furthermore, provides a solution to both.”
Catholic in origin and ethos; Pavone's bio calls it 'the largest Catholic organization focused on ending abortion'. Its Rachel's Vineyard retreats run in both Catholic and interdenominational versions. Catholic retreats add the sacraments, while the FAQ promises 'no effort to proselytize'. Note: the Vatican's Dec 2022 statement said 'Priests for Life, Inc. is not a Catholic organization' (see _notes).
“The Catholic Retreat is the same as the Interdenominational one -- except a Catholic Retreat would have sacraments included: Confession, Mass and adoration.”
Openly partisan for a 501(c)(3). Pavone has endorsed Trump in all three campaigns, advised his campaigns, and was 2020 National Co-Chair of Pro-life Voices for Trump. PfL's elections page now hosts 'ProlifeVote, a new organization started by our team at Priests for Life' to win the 2026 midterms (https://www.priestsforlife.org/elections/). Many of his columns urge votes against Democrats.
“I was one of the first leaders to endorse him in his first campaign, did so again in his second, and did so again for his current campaign”
No PfL statement found that names the abolitionist movement. In the June 2026 podcast Pavone treats calls to punish women as a fringe idea and describes a settled movement consensus against them. PfL works closely with mainstream groups, e.g. co-hosting with AAPLOG and praising Care Net conferences. Abolitionist groups (e.g. Free the States on Facebook) have attacked Pavone for opposing prosecution of women.
“this is a topic that many in the movement are even surprised that it even comes up uh, you know, that uh, well, women should be punished”
Answers No to lobbying and political activity (no Schedule C), yet describes Voter Education, a 2024 McLaughlin ballot-measure messaging survey, and coordinating state ballot-measure campaigns.

Land $234,000; buildings cost $2,432,019 (book $2,047,581), Titusville FL HQ; secured notes rose $10,038 -> $344,067 in FY2024; unsecured notes $96,237.
Direct-mail firm kept ~69% of what it raised in 2019–20 (7–15% from 2022). Johnson's pay: $93,833 (2021) → $329,006 (2024).
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Equal protection for the unborn, the abolitionist-style legal position, which treats abortion like any other killing under the law. Abby Johnson wrote in July 2026 that ATTWN 'publicly embraced equal protection.' She testified for a South Dakota equal-protection bill on 3 Feb 2026. ATTWN's site also hosts a 'Policy Engagement Map' (TrackBill) that tracks bills it supports, opposes or monitors.
“We publicly embraced equal protection for the unborn. Not because it was popular. Not because it was politically expedient.”
2026-07-28 (op-ed by Abby Johnson; excerpt reposted at https://abortionworker.com/i-had-two-abortions-heres-why-the-law-would-have-stopped-mine/)
No exceptions. ATTWN's own abortion-pill campaign site says so outright. In a 2014 blog post, Abby Johnson said she personally rejects rape and incest exceptions.
“And Then There Were None is pro-life without exceptions.”
Abby Johnson now supports criminal liability for women. In June 2026 she signed the White Rose Resistance/Seth Gruber 'Statement in Support of Equal Rights Protection'. It says anyone who knowingly takes a preborn life should face legal accountability, while leaving room to distinguish cases of ignorance, fear or coercion. Earlier reports: in 2022 (per Abolish Abortion Texas) she said she was once 'very much against prosecution of women in all cases' but now thinks 'there has to be a penalty under the law.' In 2025 (per Equal Rights Institute) she said groups that oppose prosecuting women aren't really interested in ending abortion. The quote below is text from the resolution, as reported by LifeSiteNews, not her own words.
“Equal protection requires that anyone who knowingly and willfully takes the life of a preborn child – including principal offenders, accomplices, and co-conspirators – be subject to legal accountability”
2026-06-26 (news report; see also https://abolishabortiontx.org/is-abby-johnson-for-prosecuting-women/ 2022-03-29 and https://equalrightsinstitute.com/yes-abby-johnson-we-do-care/ 2025-07-03)
Strongly against the abortion pill. ATTWN runs the 'Little Pills That Kill' campaign and publishes frequent articles on pill harms. On the 2026 mifepristone court fight, Abby said 'The legal wrangling won't stop abortion as it stands right now.' ATTWN articles also point readers to abortion pill reversal (APR).
“there is hope of abortion reversal with the abortion pill (call the abortion pill reversal hotline immediately if you have taken the abortion pills and want to try to reverse it)”
2026-07-02 (Abby quote on courts: https://abortionworker.com/legal-whiplash-around-abortion-pills-and-why-it-doesnt-matter/ 2026-05-20)
Critical of IVF and commercial surrogacy. An ATTWN staff article sets out the Catholic objection: embryos are created and discarded, and life is commodified. Abby Johnson calls it an industry that 'buys and sells babies.' No contraception statement on the ATTWN site, but Abby has called contraception 'NOT okay' on her personal blog (see ProLove).
“children are not guaranteed to anyone and the fertility industry has exploited women in the name of the so-called right to have a child.”
Christian ministry. Its mission includes 'spiritual support' alongside financial, emotional and legal help, and it frames its work around Christ's forgiveness. No formal Bible-study or sacraments programme is described; it offers healing retreats and licensed counselors. Leadership is Catholic (Abby Johnson).
“giving them the opportunity to experience the fullness of Christ’s forgiveness, love and mercy.”
The ministry itself does legislative engagement (the bill-tracking map on its site, and testimony). Abby Johnson personally endorsed Mark Lynch for US Senate (South Carolina) at an 'Equal Protection Press Conference' in Jan 2026, and spoke at the 2020 Republican National Convention. The quote below is the Lynch campaign's description of the video, not hers.
“Mark Lynch is proud to have the endorsement of such an influential person in the Pro-Life movement as Abby Johnson.”
Sides with the equal-protection/abolitionist wing and criticises mainstream movement leaders for dismissing former abortion workers who back equal protection. Per ERI's 2025 report, she said groups like ERI that oppose prosecuting women aren't really interested in ending abortion. Still partners with pregnancy centers.
“Instead, too often, those voices are welcomed only when they support conclusions that movement leaders have already reached.”
No ProLove statement on legal strategy; the site frames its work as building 'a culture of life' through practical support (LoveLine hotline, case management, Mama Scholar, Hurt After Abortion). Its CEO Abby Johnson personally backs equal protection (see ATTWN 'law').
“we are promoting new ideas to solve old problems with a common mission to build a culture of life.”
No ProLove statement. Abby Johnson personally is 'a no-exceptions pro-life advocate,' including in cases of rape and incest (her 2014 blog, first published by LifeSiteNews).
“If any human life is worth saving, then all human life is worth saving.”
No ProLove statement; its 'Hurt After Abortion' project treats women as people harmed by abortion, offering them legal referral and healing. Abby Johnson personally supports penalties (see ATTWN 'women'). The quote below is from a 2022 interview, as reported by an abolitionist group.
“If we really believe that the unborn are human beings, then I think we have to act like it. I think that there has to be a penalty under the law for taking the life.”
2022-03-29 (reported by Abolish Abortion Texas, not a ProLove source)
no statement found on proloveministries.org (its sister ministry ATTWN runs the 'Little Pills That Kill' campaign and points to APR; see ATTWN).
Contraception & IVF
Abby Johnson personally opposes hormonal contraception (2015 blog series on her own site). ProLove's 'Rebranding Motherhood' column criticises commercial surrogacy. No IVF-specific ProLove statement found.
“Prolifers need to know that contraception is NOT okay. You can NOT say that you believe that life begins at conception and then support the use of hormonal methods.”
Openly Christian, church-centred ministry. Services are practical (case management, financial coaching, scholarships) rather than Bible study or sacraments. The column carries some Catholic content (e.g., a post on Fulton Sheen's beatification, 2026-10-01).
“The most powerful organization on the planet is the church–that includes YOU!”
No partisan statement from ProLove. It runs the Celebrate Life Conference in Washington DC on the Dobbs anniversary. Abby Johnson personally spoke at the 2020 RNC. In a 2020 tweet, verified by Snopes, she backed 'household voting,' with the husband having the final say. That tweet drew wide coverage again in 2024-2026.
“in a Godly household, the husband would get the final say”
2020 (tweet, verified by Snopes; not a ProLove source)
Presents itself as a unifier of the pro-life movement that fills its 'blind spots.' No statement on abolitionists on the ProLove site (for Abby's views, see ATTWN 'other_groups').
“ProLove Ministries identifies blind spots in the pro-life movement and connects resources”
No policy statement. A 2026 blog post by recovery leader Jenny Foster tells women who had 'medically advised' (fetal-diagnosis) abortions that, unless their own life was in danger, it was still a choice to grieve and seek forgiveness for. A 2025 post encourages perinatal hospice after a poor prenatal diagnosis.
“Unless your life was in danger (the case for less than 1% of the population), you did have a choice.”
Explicitly Bible-based. Recovery groups use the 'Forgiven and Set Free' Bible study (9-12 weeks), plus 'Unbound' on sexual brokenness, weekend intensives and men's groups. Open to women of any faith level. No sacraments.
“An Even Place exists to provide abortion recovery through virtual bible study and discipleship where the broken find new life and turn their healing into hope for others.”
Refers women to a list of partner recovery ministries (Arise Daughter, Grace4Us/Surrendering the Secret, Healing Grace, Care Net centers, etc.). Nothing found on abolitionists or national pro-life groups.
“That’s why we’ve formed strong relationships with trusted partner organizations that align with our values.”
Revenue doubled since 2020; deficits 2022–24; $3.1M ads and $216,601 lobbying in 2024. 2025 return due ~Nov 2026.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Wants full legal protection from fertilization through 14th Amendment equal protection (led the 2023 'New North Star' coalition letter). Rejects 'leave it to the states', 15/16-week and 'late-term only' limits; its c4 ran ads for a NO vote on Florida Amendment 4 and Missouri Amendment 3 (2024).
“When states discriminate against preborn children by denying the equal protection of their laws against homicide, they act unconstitutionally. There is no 'states' right' to permit elective abortion…”
No exceptions for rape, incest or fetal anomaly. Rose says abortion is never medically necessary; early delivery with efforts to save the baby when the mother's life is at risk is not, in her view, abortion.
“Children conceived in rape do not deserve to be killed.”
No formal policy found. Did not sign the May 2022 open letter against punishing women (checked against the signatory list in national.md). Rose has publicly called to 'criminalize abortion' and suggested intentional self-abortion with pills 'might be different' from miscarriage, while rejecting punishment for miscarriage. Stronger quotes ('there should be criminal penalties') come only from a hostile secondary source (Reproaction) and are unverified.
“I think it might be different if a woman was intentionally trying to cause a miscarriage, ultimately an abortion by taking an abortion drug or something of that nature.”
Wants mifepristone pulled from the market, opposes pills by mail, wants the Comstock Act enforced. Promotes abortion pill reversal (lists a 24/7 APR hotline on its Help page).
“The Comstock Act already prohibits mailing abortion drugs, and it must be enforced... The FDA must immediately pull mifepristone from the market”
Rose is a Catholic convert (raised evangelical) and grounds the cause in God-given rights; spoke at the 2024 National Eucharistic Congress. No statement of faith is published on liveaction.org's About/Mission pages, although the 2024 Form 990 (Schedule O) says the organisation adopted religious-corporation status and a statement of faith.
Not a reliable Republican ally: Rose called Trump 'not a pro-life candidate' over 'leave it to the states' and IVF. Its 501(c)(4) Live Action Victory launched 10 Oct 2024 with a voter guide and Florida/Missouri ads ($291,079 of advertising in 2024 per its 990). In 2026 Rose warned Republicans of midterm consequences over the abortion pill.
“President Trump is not a pro-life candidate. He's far less pro-abortion than Biden, but he supports killing some preborn children”
No Live Action statement about the abolitionist movement found. Allies on the 2023 equal-protection letter: Students for Life, 40 Days for Life, CWA, AUL, Human Coalition, EPPC and others (SBA Pro-Life America and NRLC not on it). Broke with SBA in 2024 by condemning the GOP platform SBA praised. Abolitionist sites have attacked Rose (secondary).
“At this moment, the pro-life movement is speaking with clarity and unity: we will completely end abortion and ensure that equal justice is achieved for every human being.”
Pay is $272,986 plus $38,059 from its (c)(4) arm, which spent ~$1M on elections in 2022 and 2024.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Mission is to 'abolish abortion', pursued through state and federal bills. Hawkins says abortion is not merely a states issue and criticised the 2024 GOP platform and Trump on that point, while praising the platform's 14th Amendment language. Backs bills such as South Carolina's 'Life Begins at Conception Act' (S.0781).
“The platform is disappointing to all of us in that it makes it seem as if abortion is merely a states issue. ... And President Trump is wrong on this”
Opposes rape and incest exceptions (asked South Carolina lawmakers to remove them from S.0781). Supports saving the mother's life, framed as life-saving treatment rather than an abortion exception. No explicit fetal-anomaly quote taken, but opposes all exceptions in substance.
“all Life is sacred and deserves protection, regardless of the circumstances of conception.”
Explicitly opposes prosecuting women; targets abortion providers and pill traffickers instead. Did not sign the May 2022 open letter, but states the same position itself.
“Students for Life of America (SFLA) and Students for Life Action (SFLAction) don't advocate for jailing women for miscarriages or abortions”
Wants the Comstock Act enforced against mailed pills (delivered about 13,000 petitions to the Justice Department), FDA safety rules restored, and runs a water-pollution/EPA campaign; filed a notice of intent to sue the FDA (24 Sep 2026). Promotes abortion pill reversal.
“Pro-abortion states continue to violate the life-affirming laws of pro-life states through Chemical Abortion Pill Trafficking into states through the mail.”
Opposes IVF, including Trump's 2025 IVF expansion. Says some common birth control can end newly conceived life and stresses the Pill's health risks; no call for a legal ban on contraception found.
“many more babies are killed in IVF than are ever born.”
Openly electoral through Students for Life Action: endorses Republican candidates (2026: Daniel Cameron for US Senate, Rep. Ralph Norman, state legislators), door-knocks for them ($1,046,159 political spending in 2024 per its 990), and scores Congress.
“After all he has done to protect life, SFLAction proudly endorses Daniel Cameron and asks voters to go to the polls and give him their support in return.”
Sharply critical of 'abolitionists', calling them 'prosecutionists' and blaming them for killing an Oklahoma bill against abortion-pill trafficking. Calls itself incrementalist; staged a public debate with a Texas abolitionist (15 Jun 2026). Allied with Live Action on the 2023 equal-protection letter.
“self-proclaimed "abolitionists" who are more accurately called "prosecutionists" with their obsession with prosecuting women rather than abortionists”
Moved $8.5M of investments into a new foundation in 2024; COO paid more than CEO.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Does not lobby for bills (no lobbying on its 990). Its Institute of Law & Justice defends vigil volunteers rather than drafting laws. Criticised a reported Trump 16-week national limit as too weak; says politicians will not end abortion.
“Prohibiting abortion after 16 weeks would still leave America with one of the most liberal abortion laws in the world...”
no statement found (searched its own site; did not sign the May 2022 open letter).
Abortion pill & reversal
Opposes mifepristone deregulation and mail delivery; promotes abortion pill reversal with billboards and vigil signs.
“Their continued efforts to make these pills readily available at pharmacies and even through mail delivery demonstrate a callous disregard for basic human biology”
Critical of IVF ('Why IVF isn't pro-life'). Its podcast questions contraception and says some methods are abortifacient, but it takes no legal position.
“All children conceived through this process have dignity--but the process to unnaturally create human life is dangerous.”
Officially non-political and endorses no candidates. In practice Carney praises Trump and met the administration on defunding Planned Parenthood (23 Jun 2025).
“As such, it is not permitted to participate in political campaigns. This was a conscious decision by the board of directors, who have been called to rely on prayer and fasting, rather than political action, to end abortion.”
No statement on abolitionists found. Has criticised other pro-life groups for breaking with Trump.
“While some pro-life groups have abandoned the president and hopes of defunding Planned Parenthood, 40 Days for Life recognizes Trump as the most pro-life chief executive ever.”
Pay is $75,000 + $75,000 from related groups. Revenue halved since 2021; sold its mailing list in 2023; $1.4M cash + $1.1M in kind to its PAC.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Incremental and legislative. Its post-Dobbs model state law is a near-total ban (only exception: preventing the mother's death) with penalties aimed at abortion providers. Also backs federal Pain-Capable and Born-Alive bills, no taxpayer funding and abortion reporting. Not an 'immediate abolition' approach.
“The model law recommended by the National Right to Life Committee would first protect the lives of unborn children from abortion except when necessary to prevent the death of the mother”
Life-of-the-mother exception only in its model law; no rape, incest or fetal-anomaly exception.
“except when necessary to prevent the death of the mother, which has been the accepted policy of the pro-life movement since 1973 and for many years before”
Firmly opposes criminal penalties for women: started the May 2022 coalition letter (Carol Tobias first signatory), its model law exempts the woman, restated in 2023.
“rejects legislation and policy initiatives that would impose criminal penalties on women who have abortions”
Wants in-person dispensing of mifepristone restored and opposes mail-order pills; its APPLE Act model law lets women sue pill providers. Promotes abortion pill reversal. No statement on the Comstock Act found.
“When abortion drugs are mailed across state lines with little or no medical oversight, women are left to manage potentially dangerous complications on their own”
Takes no position on contraception. Opposed the 2024 'Right to IVF Act' because it allowed unlimited destruction of embryos, but does not oppose IVF as such ('Legislation should balance the value of human life with fertility treatments').
“National Right to Life does not oppose contraception and takes no position on contraception.”
Openly electoral: endorsed Trump in 2024 and endorses (almost all Republican) candidates for Congress, governor and legislature via NRL PAC and NRL Victory Fund; scores congressional votes.
“National Right to Life is pleased to endorse Donald J. Trump for President.”
NRL News reposted its Louisiana affiliate's opposition to the 2022 'Abolition of Abortion' bill (HB 813) because it would criminalize women, and in 2025 ran allies' pieces against South Carolina 'equal protection' bills. No statement in NRLC's own words naming 'abolitionists' found.
“Because HB 813 does not exempt women from criminalization and is unnecessary to protect the life of babies from abortion, Louisiana Right to Life does not support HB 813.”
2022-05-09 (Louisiana Right to Life statement, reposted by NRL News)
Against: signed the 2022 letter (as March for Life Action)
Spent $3.36M on $2.1M revenue in 2024.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
State laws plus federal minimum protections; endorsed Sen. Graham's 15-week bill in 2022; argues 'leave it to the states' is not enough. Stated goal: make abortion 'unthinkable'.
“We as a nation need to work toward federal minimum protections for the unborn, and advocate for policies that support pregnant women and families in need.”
Opposes mail-order pills and the 2021 removal of the in-person requirement; supports state bans going beyond FDA rules; wants an FDA safety review of mifepristone. No Comstock statement found; only a 2021 guest op-ed on abortion pill reversal.
“We continue to urge the FDA to perform its own rigorous health and safety analysis of mifepristone”
Welcomed Trump's Oct 2025 IVF announcement while urging protection of embryos and promoting restorative reproductive medicine. No position statement on contraception found.
“We continue to encourage any federal government policymaking surrounding IVF to prioritize protecting human life in its earliest stages and to fully align with basic standards of medical ethics.”
Both arms call themselves non-partisan, but criticise Democrats, congratulated Trump in 2024 and publish a presidential scorecard. No candidate endorsements found; MFL Action reported no political campaign activity on its 990-EZ.
“While March for Life Action is non-partisan like its sister organization, the sad reality is that the Democratic Presidential Candidate and Democratic Platform are extreme and out of touch with mainstream America.”

Mothers legally accountable; coerced women not charged (their FAQ)
Only public return so far; filed ~2 years late; 501(c)(3) since June 2026.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Immediate criminalization of abortion as murder; opposes all incremental bans (calls them 'iniquitous decrees').
“We call for abolitionist legislation that makes preborn children equal under law and criminalizes abortion as murder. / A law which bans abortion at 20 weeks ... explicitly codifies into the law the acceptability of murdering babies younger than 20 weeks”
No exceptions for rape/incest or disability. Life of mother: model bill excludes 'life-saving procedures ... accompanied by reasonable steps to save the life of the unborn child'. Ectopic: FAQ calls standard surgical/methotrexate treatment of a living ectopic baby not morally permissible and recommends 'watchful waiting' or attempted transplant (medically unestablished).
“No exceptions which allow for murdering babies because of the circumstances in which they were conceived. No exceptions that allow for murdering babies because they have a disease or disorder”
Mothers must be prosecutable; no blanket immunity; not retroactive. FAQ says coerced women would not be charged, but a 25 Aug 2025 blog post argues duress (threats) should not be a statutory defence.
“Can't we end abortion without prosecuting mothers? To put it simply, no. / duress cannot absolve her of the duty to protect”
Regulating mifepristone is not abolition; misoprostol alone still works. Abortion pill reversal: no statement found (site search for 'reversal' returned nothing).
“the courts are once again arguing over the preferred distribution method for poison”
Reformation Protestant (five solas, Norman Statement); says the Roman Catholic Church holds a false gospel and non-Christians cannot join the movement.
“You are not Gospel-Centered if you hold to no gospel, or a false gospel (as sadly, the Roman Catholic Church – for example – does.)”
Says voting for any pro-abortion candidate (including one with rape exceptions, e.g. Trump) is sin; celebrates and worked for abolitionist primary candidates (David Lowe, TX HD 91, 2024). Return reports no campaign activity.
“No amount of context can make an evil permissible ... 'Choosing neither' is always the correct option.”
Hostile to national pro-life groups; supports only 'Gospel-centered, local church-based' pregnancy centers and criticises Care Net/Human Coalition pay.
“One of the best things that could happen for preborn children would be for National Right to Life, SBA Pro-Life America, and Americans United for Life to fold tomorrow”
990-EZ Part VI line 47 (lobbying) answered No; political campaign activity No. No Texas/FEC record found. Oklahoma lobbying registry not checked. Stated purpose on return: 'support legislation'.

Mothers accountable; its bills include a narrow duress defense
Main drafter of state abolition bills; about half its support from a few large donors.
Positions (their own words)
Abortion law approach
Equal protection: apply existing homicide, assault and wrongful-death law to the preborn from fertilization; opposes regulations that keep abortion legal for women.
“We believe that legislation depriving preborn babies of equal protection, including proposals written by many Pro-Life groups, are unbiblical and should not be supported by Christians.”
No rape/incest exceptions (urges repeal of Hyde rape/incest exceptions and calls Trump's defence of them sin). Life of mother incl. ectopic: drafted 'necessity' clause covering life-saving procedures with reasonable steps to save the child; says this is 'not ... an exception'. Fetal anomaly: no specific statement found.
“Repeal the rape and incest exceptions in the Hyde Amendment / the language we draft regarding the life of the mother is not, and should not be described as, an 'exception.'”
Bills apply to everyone incl. mothers; case-by-case justice; duress (threat of serious violence or death) is a defence; not retroactive; miscarriage excluded.
“A mother forced into an abortion by duress is not subject to criminal liability. Instead, the bill would allow for prosecution of the person who forced or pressured her.”
Banning only mifepristone or regulating pills is inadequate; wants Comstock laws enforced against abortion pills. Abortion pill reversal: no statement found.
“Only banning one specific method of abortion merely encourages other methods of abortion”
Opposes IVF expansion and wants embryo destruction banned. Contraception: no FAA statement found (its definitions page only quotes state statutes).
“Christians who love their preborn neighbors and oppose their destruction by means of abortion should also be gravely concerned about efforts to expand and subsidize IVF.”
Says it does not endorse candidates; but board members are Republican Party officials (Haas precinct chair; Thomas Liberty County GOP chair) and FAA works through GOP platforms and praises replacing opposing legislators.
“Since we do not endorse, oppose, or contribute to candidates for public office, supporting our work raises no campaign intervention concerns.”
Calls mainstream groups the 'Pro-Life establishment' and documents their opposition by name; courts pregnancy centers, arguing equal protection will send them more clients.
“While pregnancy help organizations are engaged in works of mercy, there is no reason for them to oppose civil authorities fulfilling their duty to establish justice by abolishing abortion.”

Lobbying & political
Form 990 Part IV line 4 (lobbying, incl. Schedule C) answered No for 2023 and 2024, and no political campaign activity. But FAA's own pages say it drafts bills, 'worked with hundreds of lawmakers', and its president and legislative liaison testified for bills (SD, SC, TN, ND, LA). Whether that met the IRS definition of lobbying is not determined here. Texas Ethics Commission lobby registrations 2019-2026: no entry for FAA, AAT, Bradley Pierce or J.R. Haas. FEC: none found.

TUBMAN20 LLC
disregarded entity (Schedule R, 2021-2023); purpose not stated
Says punishment of mothers is 'murkier and undecided'; most would want it 'considerably less severe' than for abortionists; some propose penalties that ramp up over years.
“After abolition, the question of what, if any, punishment the government should apply to abortive mothers is murkier and undecided.”
Mothers prosecutable; coercion defence limited to physical threat or force; denies most women are coerced.
“Criminalizing abortion is not equivalent to criminalizing mothers, but it does allow for their prosecution. / Any woman who knowingly and intentionally commits the murder of her preborn child is not a victim of coercion, but a principal actor”
no statement found (no pill-specific or reversal statement found on pages read)
Contraception & IVF
Would outlaw 'abortifacient birth control' but not contraception. IVF: in 2022 said 'ethical IVF' could continue; in 2025 says believers must reject IVF.
“Criminalizing abortion does not outlaw contraception, but it would outlaw contragestion (use of abortifacient birth control that kills a preborn child post-fertilization). / Here are five reasons believers must reject the practice of IVF.”
